TAILORED ONLINE INTERACTIONS
Connecting Innovators & Producers
The first phase of The Sprout Project by EZI is designed to bridge the gap between agtech innovators and producers through tailored online interactions. This initiative provides a structured platform where developers can engage directly with experienced producers to refine their products based on real-world insights and market requirements. By integrating farmer feedback early in the development process, agtech solutions can be fine-tuned to ensure fit-for-market outcomes, increasing adoption rates and commercial success. Sessions are available at $125 per hour per producer (minimum 1 hour), offering invaluable expertise to shape the future of agricultural innovation. Get in touch to start refining your agtech solution today!
in-field testing
Real-World Validation for Agtech Solutions
The second phase of The Sprout Project takes innovation beyond the screen and into the paddock with in-field testing. This stage ensures agtech solutions are rigorously evaluated under authentic farming conditions, providing real-world performance data and actionable feedback to refine and optimize products. With EZI’s expertise and extensive producer network, we facilitate hands-on trials that help developers validate functionality, usability, and market fit. Pricing for this phase is negotiated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope and requirements of the testing. Get in touch to discuss how we can tailor an in-field trial to accelerate your agtech innovation.
SPROUT IN ACTION
From Data to Disaster Resilience
Welcome to an exciting example of The Sprout Project in action—where collaboration between producers and innovators drives real-world agricultural solutions. This initiative began with the Data Hub Pilot in 2021 , developed in collaboration with Axistech, to demonstrate the potential of a centralized data platform for farm management. From this concept, the Bushfire Water Network emerged as a natural evolution, transforming data-driven insights into a real-time emergency response tool.
At its core, the Data Hub integrates farm business data on private water sources, enhancing decision-making and networked resilience. This technology laid the foundation for the Bushfire Water Network, which leverages the same data-sharing principles to connect farms and emergency services, ensuring faster, smarter responses during bushfire events.
By spinning off from the original Data Hub concept, the Bushfire Water Network demonstrates how agtech innovation can adapt to real-world challenges, delivering solutions that not only improve on-farm productivity but also enhance climate resilience and community preparedness. This Sprout-driven project showcases the power of producer-led collaboration in shaping technology that truly meets market needs.
